The ABC is set to embark on yet another restructure, the fourth in eight years, resulting in job losses across the content and audio divisions, despite the fact no government budget cuts are forcing management's hand.
On Tuesday afternoon, ABC staff received notice they would be having one-on-one meetings with managers the following morning – with some instructed to meet with senior staff they had never previously interacted with.
Lamestream understands those impacted include staff in units such as Indigenous, Sport, Arts and Radio National – all units that sit in either the content division or audio division, which have already been restructured relatively recently.
