Today, ABC staff learned that the broadcaster's Chief Operating Officer, Melanie Kleyn, had become the latest in a growing list of senior ABC executives and managers to depart the organisation since Hugh Marks arrived as Managing Director.
Kleyn became the organisation's Chief Financial Officer in 2019, before being promoted in 2025 to COO. Lamestream can report that her departure was announced on Monday, the same day the ABC's new Director of News, Simon Robinson, started his role.
